India’s first bullet train project has reached a major milestone, with more than 80% of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor now complete. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced that the first operational section between Surat and Bilimora is expected to open in 2027, marking the beginning of high-speed rail travel in India.
